My 2 Furry Monsters

Royal and Temecula came into my life almost 8 years ago.  I had adopted them from a no-kill shelter in Phoenix and they helped me through a time when I really needed them.  I'd suffered a tragic loss the day before and wasn't taking it well and these two fluffy nutters brought joy to me again.  Some days I can't believe how much time has passed.  When I first adopted them, they were only about 10 weeks old and were so small but their ears seemed huge.  Especially Temecula's.  I could carry both of them in one hand held against my body and they only took up a tiny portion of one pillow.  Now I need both hands to hold one and one cat can take up both pillows.  hahaha.  And sometimes they do.  hahaha.  Temecula likes to use my head as a pillow.  Royal likes to lick ears.  He also likes to lay on his back as if he's posing for an adult magazine.  Haha.  They will groom each other one moment then fight the next.  Sometimes they drive me absolutely bonkers, but I love their little furry heads that I always forgive them.

Tomorrow the toy store where I buy most of my Breyer's is re-opening.  They have moved to a new location because they outgrew their last place.  This is the 3rd time they've moved because they ran out of room.  Hopefully the Breyer section will be a bit more roomy than their last place because I was always afraid I was going to knock something over.  I haven't decided if I'm going to go in tomorrow to see it or just wait for the main grand opening in April.  Oh, who am I kidding?  I'll probably go.  The last time I was there they were having a huge sale and most of their Breyers had sold already and the owner said they wouldn't be ordering anything until they were ready to move into the new place.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

  1. Oh goodness, look at those kitties! So cute and thank you for giving them a home. I feel so bad about all the kitties in shelters just waiting. It seems the dogs go but kitties wait and wait. They are all so precious. BTW I LOVE your DAH. I almost got an Arab one in that color but when I realized the first I ordered I hadn't done correctly and it cost me even more I had to set one aside. I couldn't pass up a $40 Rapunzel Arab though...sigh...

  2. Yeah, there always seem to be so many more kitties than dogs. I like dogs, too, but there's just something about a cat...Royal doesn't purr quite as much as Temecula, who purrs if you even THINK about petting him. He's a purring machine. hahaha. I call him my purr-bucket. Yeah, I'm weird.

Thank you. He's really neat, isn't he? I can't wait to see the 3 you ordered.

  3. Purr-bucket is cute. I call my indoor cat Tabby a purr purr. Yah, real adult of me :) She's my little purr purr, LOL.

  4. That's cute! And you know what? Who cares if it's un-adult of us. It shows we see our kitties as more than just pets.
